Locations
Below is a guide to locations I have used around the area that are within 1 hour drive from Shepparton. Please keep in mind that each locations can look different as the seasons change, the landscapes grow and flourish and the light changes.
Dookie Hills
This spot is located near Tallis wines. I usually meet clients across the road from the Dookie pub and ask you to follow me. This spot is great for Maternity sessions, couple session and small families. It is a slight walk up a tiny hill. It has rocks to sit on or stand on and is great for kids to explore with beautiful views of Dookie and the surrounds.
Dookie Red
Located a minute out of the town. Again, we meet at Dookie pub and I ask you to follow me from there. This spot is great for Maternity sessions, couple session and small families. It’s on a dirt road, but the road is rarely used. It has lots of different angles of Dookie with some beautiful hills in the background.
Dookie Quarry
This is private property so the owner charges $100 to use it. Its well worth the money. It’s unique and kids love to explore it. Its also great for extended family sessions as it is easy for everyone to access and looks amazing in photos. If you have fur babies then this is great for them too.
Mt Major
I love this spot. But to get to the top I need to borrow the key from the university.
If you are wanting to use this when its daylight savings and the sun sets later in the evening, I need to go get the key during the day. If this is the case I do charge $100. Alternatively I can give you their details and you can arrange this your self.
During late Autumn and winter I can pick the key up on my way to the session. Sometimes the key isn’t available. In this case please see the next location as this is my back up option.
Entry of Mt Major
If you still want some beautiful views but we cant access the key to the top of mount major this is another amazing spot to go. Its at the main entrance of Mount Major and we walk up about 100m. We have lots of 360 angles of some beautiful views.
Modern Country Estate
Located in Shepparton East, a private sanctuary among 2 acred of lush gardens and a white farm house. A perfect location for all types of shoots. Owner charges $125ph weekdays, $150ph on weekends.
Tocoumwal Blow Hole
Recently I had local clients that took me to this spot and I was BLOWN away. Absolutely loved it and very unique. Located 10 minutes out of town centre. I charge a travel fee of $100 to go to this spot but its worth it. Kids will have a ball exploring this.
Cactus Country
You can weave with me between the cacti, there is so much to explore. Because this is such a unique location and a venue, they charge to use this. Pricing below.
During winter its $50 + entry fee ($17.50 for adults. 5-15 years- $7.50 & free for under 5)
I love this place. Great for couples, Maternity and families with kids old enough to now not to touch the cactus’s (ideally kids 3+)
Barmah
Collecting pine cones, drawing pictures in the sand, following tracks and climbing tree stumps. This would have to be one of my favourite places. Kids adore this place.
50min drive from Shepparton. There is a travel fee of $80 for this location.
Shepparton Botanical Gardens
Located in Kialla at the old tip.
A great location with lots of areas to explore. Great for Maternity, Families, couples and generational sessions. Lots of variety of areas to photograph. Can still get open fields to view those amazing sunsets, bush, water and hills.
Reedy Swamp
Located north of shepparton off Wanganui road. I usually avoid this location in summer but great for Autumn, winter and Spring.
North Shepparton
Light reflects so beautifully here. If this location was chosen I would send you a drop pin and chat through directions. There are a few different spots and for those older families a Chanel bank is where the magic happens. This location isn’t ideal if its been raining for a few days as it can get pretty muddy and boggy.
Waranga Basin
Winter months as well as the summer months and it looks entirely different depending on the sunset and the time of year. Being at this spot is the closest thing to the beach as we can get. It’s great for those sunsets, splashing in the water on those hot summer
I charge a travel fee of $80 to this location.
Beechworth

Mitchelton winery
I have a oft spot for this location. It’s where I married m husband. They are usually pretty accomodating in allowing to use their property. Just get in touch with them directly to give them a heads up. I charge a travel fee of $100 to travel here.
Mount Wombat
It feels like you could reach the sky, but your feet are grounded on the most magic horizon. Located 15 minutes out of Euroa. EPIC VIEWS.

Byrchendale
Located 25 minutes out of Shepparton before Murchison. The owner of the gardens charges $100 to use the property
They have a beautoful garden, an open chapel and a barn. Perfect for all sessions.
Olive Grove
A great spot for extended family sessions. Especially if your worried about the weather as it has some beautiful undercover options. Easy accessible and easy to find.
It is private property and the owner charges $100Ph to use it.
Rushworth Quarry
Located about 20 min from rush worth. A perfect location for couple sessions. Not ideal for young families or maternity sessions as there is a little rocky and lots to climb to get the perfect spot. I charge a travel fee of $100 to go here.
Thompson’s Beach
Located in Cobram just off the bridge to Barooga.
A beautiful sandbank with river and bush backdrop.
$100 travel fee applies to this spot.
This is well known and can get pretty busy during the summer months.
